I have these on the north side of my house. And when I say no sun well, maybe a few dappled hours in fall and spring, more in winter when our hardwoods drop leaves, and virtually none in the summer. So grow is not robust - but neither is it unhealthy. It uses the hillside foundation as a rock, under which there is plenty of stable moisture. I have never seen the fruit, and I understand this is because in all probability the plant is a female clone. I have now read their is a male clone available, and I ask you if you are aware of a particular variant I would want to plant moreso than others. I would prefer to buy one closer rather than far, but I suspect there are as usual good solid reasons my wife ended up with these female clones instead of a mixed bag or male clones only. Please educate me.
