Lime tree in pot

I have had this lime tree for about 4-5 years. The first couple of years it was in the ground and then I transferred it to a pot. It constantly has problems with the leaves curling and often has a white substances on the leaves (see the pics). I have tried fungicides and fertilizer but the leaves don't change, and even worse I have never gotten fruit. Any suggestions?

Howdy @Chapfam . That looks like an awfully small pot for that plant. I would up size it and see if that takes care of the curling leaves problem.

Depending on variety it can take 5 years to bear fruit.

A typical lime tree will take anywhere from 4 years to 7 years to produce fruit if grown from seed and up to 3 years if grown from cuttings. A too small a container will impede fruiting and I agree with Meadowlark that the container is too small. I would take it out of the container and repot with a larger container. The white leaves are caused by the Citrus Leafminer. Spinosad works well if applied to ALL NEW GROWTH especially and the entire tree, both sides of the leaves. Spray every 7-9 days for 30 days and the new growth thereafter once per month. Spinosad will NOT kill the leafminers already inside the affected leaves as it is not a systemic, but the tree will eventually shed these leaves. Do not remove the affected leaves as they are still providing photosynthesis.
