hi all I would like to get a light for my indoor little garden. Which ones are the best? New at this. Where do I place it? Also for how long do I keep it on? I also seen a few videos about heating pads what does that do? Is it better then light? Where can I get them?

You should use fluorescent bulbs positioned near the foliage since they give much light and less heat as compared to incandescent bulbs which give more heat than light. Plants also require about 8 hours of darkness for rest. To achieve this, a timer should be integrated to regulate light duration. The lights should be placed close to the foliage and the distance adjusted as the plants grow taller.
