Hi I bought this tree around 3 months ago and it arrived with mice green leaves. I left it outside and the leaves started curling going brown and falling off so I brought it inside my summerhouse where it sits in front of the patio window doors but it doesn't look healthy to me any ideas

Well, no it’s not healthy as lemon trees need heat and light. It was most likely grown in a glass house and suddenly putting it outside shocked it. Now, indoors it is struggling further with low lighth conditions. You need it in a very bright setting with heat at least at 80fahrenheit. In winter it can be kept cooler but not much below freezing.

I would , if you want to get it to grow leaves, buy a grow light and keep that on it for 12 hours daily and hopefully it will grow leaves and survive. Don’t fertilize it until spring as all that would do is burn the roots.

Leave the light on for 12 hours-14hours all day. First, think about it: It grows where? Outdoors in FULL sun, no shade at all and grows in florida, california Spain, etc. where the sunlight is VERY strong and the heat is also for 6+ months a year.

Orange trees are really not "houseplants" they have to have what they require or you just end up with a slowly dieing plant.

I'm not sure if it's getting any better the ends of some of the branches seem black

The black is caused from the soil being too wet and rotting the tips of the stems. Don't water it, let it get dried out. It has no leaves to need water so, up goes the water, soaks the stem tips and they rot.

Cut those off back to healthy green stems and let it dry.

Yes I made a mistake of watering it too much but u haven't watered it in 4 weeks now but when I stick the prone in it still says wet +. I even took it out of it's small pot and put it in a bigger one woth dry soil thinking that'll help dry it. I take it the black parts won't come good they are dead and need cut?
