Leave Lay Or Compost

Thinking of putting my Leaves in my Compost. I’m feeding my Rabbits Hay and they lose some.

I figure this and cleanings out of the Chicken House should break leaves down.

Got a Riding Mower to chop them and a Lawn Sweep.

I'd put them on the bare ground, it would help the soil over winter.

Another method is to put your leaves in large plastic bags and leave in a hidden corner for a couple of years. Or follow Logan’s advice is what I do,

I have been leaving them on the ground and I’m sure it is doing some good but with my eyes I’m not seeing it.

Last year I did put some in Compost. I had to make sure water was getting to them and turn the pile but it did break down and the plants like it.

I have put them in bags and found I better put them where I want them they get heavy fast.
