My husband knows these facts/statistics/acronyms, and has to interpret them for me. While watching the World Series, I learned about the "curse of the goat" that the Chicago team had suffered under, and that their pitcher is a little, shall we say, unique (won't pitch overhand to first base, has his own preferred catcher). I also learned that baseball players are a juicy bunch, constantly spitting. They also like to chew gum vigorously and eat some kind of seeds that they spray the hulls from their mouths. No way could you get me to clean that dugout!
I'm happy for the Cubs, and happy for the Indians for coming so far. I'm happy that the "boys of October" now get to go home in November!
