Leaf Fungus?

I purchased this dwarf clusia plant around 3 weeks ago from Home Depot and repotted it in a fresh pot within two days. I've started seeing these large black spots on the tops of the leaves, is it fungus? None of my other plants have it.

Background: The plant is on an East/North facing balcony that's covered, but next to tinted glass so the east sun doesn't hit it too heavily. Its soil is 1 part moss, 1 part perlite, 1 part soil, with an inch of rock at the bottom for drainage, plus a light layer of activated carbon over the rocks to purify any water that sits in the rocks. I layer all my container plants like this though and I've never seen this black spot problem.

Dwarf Clusia (Clusia rosea 'Nana', exact species uncertain, sometimes sold as Clusia guttifera but this is not a valid name.)

It is not clear if this damage is due to the plant's previous conditions or current care. The damage does resemble sun scorch, though it sounds as if the plant is currently (at time of posting) kept in low light. Too little light could be a problem itself, as Clusia rosea does appreciate full sun, at least half a day or more.

It is also possible that this could be a disease symptom. It would be good to get an update and learn if more leaves developed these same necrotic patches.
