Hi all,

Looking for some advice. I have large brown patches appearing in my lawn quite quickly over a matter of weeks. I am wondering whether this is an animal given that it looks like a trail? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jack

Looks like human footprints to me. Like someone walked over to the flower bed, then walked back and had something caustic on the bottoms of their shoes. I would water it well and see if it grows back green for you.

That looks like weed killer has been walked over the lawn 😢. Fear not. The rain will dilute any residual chemicals.
Rake out the dead grass. Spike the ground (open it up a bit) with a fork spread over a generous amount of lawn topsoil sprinkle some grass seed (allowing plenty for the pigeons). And hopefully by spring you will have forgotten all about it

First, dig up the dead spots and get a good look at why the grass is having problems. In early spring, before the grass starts growing again, spread composted manure in the dead spots. Work the manure into the topsoil well and then water it in. As the Sun warms up, the grass will regrow in those areas. You can just top-dress the whole lawn with the composted manure right before the grass starts growing in Spring.
