Lavender help

Can anyone tell me what's going on with my lavender? I live in Southern California and it's been pretty hot lately. I water it early every morning but ever since I planted it it just keeps growing those fuzzy yellow/white ball things. It's grown a lot just not the pretty purple I was expecting!

Trim those off,do not water everyday it does not need it.

That is the main problem.
