We got handed over an allotment just before ‘lockdown’ hit in the UK. I ordered lots of asparagus crowns but am now not going to be able to plant them in the allotment until lockdown is over, who knows when! Will they keep ok if I put them in pots in my garden until then? No space in the ground in my garden to put them. I imagine it will be summer by the time I get to the allotment, would they transplant out ok to the ground then?

Yes, that should work. The deeper the pot, the better IMO 1 gallon size plus should be ok.
