Hi cool dudes. So I bought this kalanchoe a few weeks ago, and it didn't look the best from the get-go. The leaves looked quite bad, but since watering every day (which I now know I shouldn't do) the leaves got a tiny bit better. However, they still look odd and keep breaking away. Does anyone know what the issue is here? I'm trying to let the plant dry out a bit so I don't over water and kill it.

I don't suppose you by chance know what sort of conditions it was kept in before you bought it? I'm not an expert, particularly in succulents and the such, but I've seen damage like that happen as a result of everything from freezing to too much fertilizer.

Well, I bought it from a store in a shopping centre that isn't so nature oriented. I saw the plant on a shelf with some others and just picked it up. It didn't show where or how it was brought up, so I'm assuming it's like this because of the time they kept it in the store.
