Indoor Avocado Stops Growing

Hi there, I'm new to gardening. After I moved my avocado sapling from water to soil two weeks ago (yay big progress!), however it stops growing and I noticed broken leaves this morning. Any idea why this happens? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you?

There is a transitional period when a plants roots that were grown in water is suddenly put into soil. The roots are different in water than in soil on all plants.
