Me too. I envy some of the plants that grow there naturally in zones similiar to my USDA zone 8, though I cannot keep them because my climate is more continental. Like eucalyptus. And there are some plants there that I fear as well.

What a curious comment. My first thought is that you are referring to Tree Nettles (Dendrocnide spp.). Is that so?

Yes I believe a Gympie or Gimpie tree I was I read about. Sounds like a really bad Jellyfish sting.
