I think, it would be great fun to make a sunflower maze, similar to a corn maze! I could just see the kids out there running around screaming in delight. Just not sure, if my dad will go for the idea. It might take up valuable space in his mind. lol Still, I am going to give it a shot and lay out my plans for him to decipher.

Anyone else thought of doing this, or seen one?

This is my general idea, but I will need to get more specific, for my idea to fly.

Here are some of our sunflowers from last year. When I find, a picture of the sunflowers grown in the field, I will post. These are either getting ready for the market, or at the market. Aren't all the varieties, beautiful!

This sounds interesting, but I'm not sure the sunflower stalks would hold up to abuse like corn stalks would (and somone is going to abuse them)

Funny, the kids have been running through the sunflowers for years. They play tag, hide and seek, etc. Remarkably the stalks hold up pretty good, lol. (depending on which variety). This is why I thought it would be fun to put a twist on the design plan of how they are planted in the field this year. Alas, seriously doubt my idea will get approved. I will have to locate a picture to post one of our sunflower fields in the past.

Oh, a quick edit, I see my link above showing a picture of my design plan for a maze is not permitted to be displayed (hot-linked) apologies. I would delete it, but I guess my time to edit the above post has expired. So, I just wanted to apologize.
