Hey !
I got this monstera deliciosa cutting last week and decides to water propagate it. It had an aerial root and I am expecting new roots coming from it. The problem is that something seems very off with the root, it’s very dark, kind of slimy (??) and very fragile. The leaves look a little bit damaged but nothing serious I guess. I’m very new to house plants... is it root rot ? and can I save my monstera or is it too late ?
(english is not my first language sorry if I did any mistake)

Thank you :)

Hello and welcome @jad214 You can remove that aerial root. As long as your cutting has a node it should be fine. I prefer to put my cuttings in compost, but they should also do well in water.
