You'll be looking at some hacking DIY work but it sounds like a fun project.

I know some of my neighbors have used solar powered flood lamps and liked them.

I realize they won't do much for soil temperature but a couple extra hours of sunlight won't hurt the plants.

Pretty much all I've seen though are intended for indoor growing.

You lose a certain amount of photon energy through the conversion but I imagine it's totally worth it if you have the power to spare or plants that can't be outside.

If they are LED then they will work from solar without too many problems. Normal bulbs can be a bit of a power drain.

You'll need battery storage to run them smoothly. I've got 4 panels with 3 leisure batteries for storage.

I've got an inverter to step up 12 volt DC to 230 AC.

This was an attempt to get a cactus to flower without any sun today (Didn't work :( )
