I dont know what to do

I have a corn plant and I repotted it before, this made some flies and it started to brown and have more fungus for about 5 days or so. I just repotted it yesterday and watered it down, then placed it in my room. I don’t know what to do with the leaves that are already dying. It started to brown on the stem too. The small one that’s growing also started to brown but I cut a little piece off of it and still starts to brown today. Please help me out with this, I’m struggling with finding solutions

Corn plants are very sensitive to overwatering. They like semi-moist soil but never wet, so let the plant dry well before watering again. The first impulse is to water or feed a plant when it shows distress, but thats what actually kills it in the later stages. Don't water the plant without first very gently tipping the plant out of the container and looking and feeling the soil first. Good luck and keep us posted.

Am I supposed to carefully take it out every time I water plant? Also, should I cut the dying leaves off or not do anything at all?

Thats a good question, when the plant is having problems you want to not overwater. If you look today and then later in the week and the soil is still wet, then it took 2 times and still hold the water. Check as many times as it takes to get dialed in, and keep from overwatering. You can remove dead or bronzed area off the plant without hurting it.

How do I remove the dead/bronzed area without hurting it?

Scissors, but the ultimate is leave it alone. Mother nature has done this long before you so resist the need to help. If you must, consider the tubes inside the plant, and how one might crush the outside end of the pathways to prevent advantage taking pathogens from being given an open doorway.

Apology edit: Some people use a razor. The slice leaving the open tube. Great for a lot of reasons, maybe not this one.
