I'd like to know too. Email today was filled with p0rn bots. This site has been compromised. How do we close our accounts?

Sorry. It was 2 spam users that posted 37 new posts with bad images. No users on this site have been compromised. It was just 2 new users that were spammers. Again, the site hasn't been compromised and your accounts are safe.

Please let me know if you have any other questions concerns. Again, sorry about all this.

When Zigs was admin on this forum any type of spam was taken down within hours. That porn had been up for days. This was a good forum but it is failing and will completely disentergrate if the owners/admin do not start paying attention to what is posted.

That is very kind of you to say so Chuck. I did stay on for a while after Ian sold the site but after a while I realised I was doing the work for someone who didn't even bother looking at the forums and obviously has no interest in them other than making money from the advertising.

There's a fine line between being an angler and standing on the shore holding a stick and looking like an idiot and I wanted to stay an angler.

Anyway, sorry for leaving you all with the spam and porn but I've got better things to do than work for someone for nothing.

We've got a very friendly little gardening forum going on elsewhere now as a few of you know, and I've got my Youtube channels, Ziggy's Cactus and Ziggy's Coast and Countryside

I see there's a new spammer just joined now, quite a few of them not gettting deleted, word quickly gets around so I would be prepared for more naughty pictures if I were you.

It appears that closing an account here is not at all intuitive or self-regulated. I have requested TWICE via email to someone named Bryan (admin?) to close my account, or instruct me how to do so. He appears to be ignoring my request, which only further erodes my trust.

Meanwhile I've changed my password and enabled 2FA. I would advise anyone who remains here to do the same. This site's IT is clearly not conducting proper security measures.

If my requests to close my account here continue to go unresolved, my solution will be to change the email address I signed up with to a disposable one, then close the email address. Reporting this site to the FCC is also within consideration, seeing as they are in violation of their own TOS.

I did it for over 10 years and I had enough when the new owner joined and didn't even bother replying to me in the office forum

I am busy moderating the new forum now. No spam or porn over there. Plenty of Cactus pictures though

There's no need to close an account.
Just don't post any more and with any e-mails received, just choose,"block sender" move to spam and and delete
