I came across a thread which suggested inorganic plant will /will not remain inorganic.

Question: I used to buy my plants from a guy, (after digging into, came to know) he used spray the plant with dimethoate (organophosphate insecticide and acaricide)

So, after how long will it be safe, or do I dispose them.

Don't know what to do with those plants now.

Hiya Rajesh
What plants are they? If they are perennial herbaceous, i.e. They die down for the winter, they would be free from any residues next spring when new growth starts.
If edible plants I would discard them.
Some insecticides are systemic....they are absorbed deep into the plant....and some are not so will wash off after rain :)

No, some are herb, two potted tree, and rest are flowering plant.

Sorry, I am feeling so hopelessly grey when I think about that.

I came to know recently when I asked the guy how you keep your plants pest free.

The chemical is toxic, and get absorbed readily.

Question :how long its trace remain in plant body?

Some of them, are vegetative propagated, do you think it will be present in the new plants that I have prepared from cuttings of contaminated plants?
