Hi,

I have 3 plants-a Kentia Palm, a Swiss cheese plant and a Peacock Plant and all are showing signs of not being happy.

Last night I took out of thier pots, shook out the dry old soil and replaced with some coconut shell compost.

I read about where best to have them and I believe lighting wise and temperature they should be OK, but wondering if anyone had any thoughts on why they are looking a bit ill?

Just really want them to thrive!

Kind regards

Victoria

My guess is that they were staying too dry and the soil removal has removed roots as well. Keep them moist but not soggy and they should recover in a few months.

Left the pot on watering day and if it's heavy don't water. IF its lightweight then water and water until you get 10% runoff out the bottom into a drain tray. Remove the drain tray and water and leave it alone and stop moving your plants to different locations. Your leaf bronzing is caused by water mismanagement. Wait until the top 2 inches are dry before using he lift method. Good luck.
