The plastic on our hoop house lasted from last fall until this fall when the wind and storms finally took the top off. I had left the side up all summer but things deteriorated in the summer sun. The house now has new plastic on but still needs to be tied close for winter. I will now have only the door and window for ventilation. I can move my peas (that nearly drowned down there) back and maybe plant a couple more experiments.
In early February I started my seedlings in the attic and moved them to the hoop house when they had outgrown their allotted space.
