Helagumamela, I'm sure they will:)

I think that one of the prettiest Amaryllis varieties is 'Blossom Peacock'. Look how lovely it is:

Thank you so much for this! I am learning a lot. :D I just replanted the one that flowered that was in a pot to the ground. :) I am hoping that they will grow more beautifully.

You're more than welcome and am really pleased to have been of help - especially as once established Hippeastrum are stunning plants to have around and yes - I feel more than sure that as you have managed to plant yours now - that you will be rewarded with an abundance of flowers this spring and a much larger clump in the following year - I would however just add - that when yours does bloom in the spring - I would love to see some photos of it in all its glory :)

" Blossom Peacock " is a wonderful choice claudine as although it doesn't fair too well outdoors and is one of those varieties that is best only grown as an indoor plant - I can understand why " Blossom Peacock " would be a favorite choice - as apart from it having double blooms - its one of the very few varieties that are actually fragrant :)

I wonder where I can get different colors though. I think I love to have red ones.

I didn't know about it, I love fragrant flowers:) I'm wondering what 'Blossom Peacock' smells like. I wouldn't mind growing it indoors, it would make a lovely home decoration.
Outside, I'd plant 'Charisma':

Hopefully you will manage to get some more colors - as the bulbs for all colors and all varieties of Hippeastrum - both indoor and outdoor - are widely available either online or at most garden stores and if looking for a red one - I can highly recommend this one

Hippeastrum x Johnsonii

as being one that would be well worth considering - even though its not entirely red - as not only does it flower profusely but is also known to grow extremely well where you live and if its of any help - I feel more than sure that in your part of the world - its referred to as " The St. Joseph's Lily " :)

Although I haven't had the pleasure of smelling it myself - I'm told by those who have done so - that " Blossom Peacock 's " scent is truly exquisite :)

As you like " Charisma " - you might also like this one called " Temptation "

Amaryllis . H - Temptation.jpg

especially as it is very similar to " Charisma " and another called " Show Master " which also looks very similar to both - but unfortunately am unable to show you what the latter looks like - as I haven't been able to find a photo of " Show Master " yet - that allows free use :D

'Temptation' looks very pretty. I like it.
I've just looked for other Amaryllis varieties and I fell in love with 'Apple Blossom'. I believe it's one of the most gorgeous plants I've ever seen:

Yay! Thank you so much for this recommendation. I will ask at the gardening store this weekend when I go there to look for kale seeds. I hope they have this one!

I would agree as would many others too - that " Apple Blossom " is beautiful - in fact its one of the most popular of all - not only because of its enormous blooms - but guess what - its fragrant too :D and belongs to that small group of Hiipeastrum that are fragrant - just like " Blossom Peacock ".

So as you are so taken with " Apple Blossom " and this variety is generally grown indoors - I was thinking that if you wanted an outdoor companion that looked very similar - you might like this hardy variety

Hippeastrum Sonatini - " Lollipop "

Amaryllis - H. Sonatini - lollipop.jpg

especially as it could very definitely be grown outdoors where you live :)

'Lollipop' looks really pretty too!:)
I love 'Apple Blossom' so much that I started looking for places where I could buy it and I found a really nice online store. They sell one bulb for 12 złoty, which is around $4. But I haven't purchased any yet, because I've just received a new miniature rose:D

If you can buy " Apple Blossom " at that price snap it up now - I wouldn't wait as its a real bargain - as they are generally way more expensive than that and even though I know that your miniature roses are your favorites - it wouldn't be a wasted purchase either - as you would get to enjoy its beautiful blooms during the time that your roses are resting over the winter in the attic :)

I think I'll purchase it:) Unfortunately, it will be a little more expensive, because I'll also have to pay for shipping costs. But it's worth it. 'Apple Blossom' is an absolutely gorgeous plant:) I'm sure it could cheer me up during long winter months.

As I hadn't realized that post and packing was not included and although I do still think that $4 is a bargain price for an " Apple Blossom " bulb even if you do have to pay post and packing - you may also like to check out

https://www.eurobulb.nl/

especially as they too sell Armayllis bulbs at very reasonable prices and guess what - for deliveries anywhere in Europe - post and packing is included in the price advertised and although I haven't used them myself - from what I've heard from those who have - all are very pleased with both the service and the quality of the bulb :) so may well be worth checking out - that is if you haven't already ordered yet.

Would agree with you when you say its a small price to pay - for being able to see such a wonderful sight over the winter months - especially as " Apple Blossom " is fragrant too :)

That is an extremely healthy looking Amaryllis you have there - especially as not only do you have a baby " Apple Blossom " growing but wow - big healthy roots too - and as you have now got my curiosity going - did you bring yours outdoors after it had finished flowering or did you just leave it on a sunny windowsill inside - to enjoy the sun throughout the summer months ?

Although I think you are already aware of this - but just in case you aren't and I know that if it was me - I would at this moment in time be very tempted to re-pot and extract that baby Amaryllis - as your Amaryllis is just starting to go dormant - which the leaves starting to turn yellow is a sign that it is - don't let temptation get the better of you - as in order to make sure that they bloom again - Amaryllis are generally re-potted or divided at the end of the dormancy stage.

I have already repotted this summer Gata with fresh compost and have fed it all summer.

But feeding stopped last month.

Part of the summer it sat outdoors then it has sat indoors in our conservatorŷ.

But it's now moved to a cooler darker area in our home to rest.
