Hello,

I just completed a front porch project and in front of the porch we planted a row of Japanese holly about 10 days ago. There are about 11 in total and about three of them have started to develop a paler green complexion with some of the leaves being yellow and falling off.

Some other info that may be relevant I have been using my sprinklers more frequently in the past 10 days as part of the job including some turf repair with sod which needed extra watering. The holly plants are in the zone where the sod is being watered. Attached are some photos for reference

I love gardening but when I read about the remedies it would appear that it could be almost anything so my head is spinning. Any insight you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Agree with Apple. If you keep them wet you are not helping, but instead hurting them. You water deeply once weekly. Hedges and many other plants need an inch of water per week and bneed the top inch or two of soil to dry out or else you' ll get root rot.

I would adjust the sprinkler to keep it away from the holly, then hand water the section nearest the hedges so they can dry out.
