Hello, and welcome to the Forums.

The first plant, with thick, entire, opposite leaves, is most curious. Perhaps something in Apocynaceae or Rubiaceae, I'm not sure.
Has it ever flowered? Does it secrete a milky white latex when a leaf is punctured or broken?
If you do get rid of it, give it to a plant fancier. It is at least somewhat unusual.

The second plant is a broad-leaved form of Sansevieria.
Perhaps a specimen of the variegated Sansevieria 'Stars n' Stripes' that is reverting to an all-green form.
