Does anyone know what this vine is? This is a picture I took November 25th. It is a very long vine with green leaves in spring and summer and in fall it has orange berries. It is growing in East Tennessee, from the ground, to the top of very tall hemlocks. Thanks!

That looks like the American Bittersweet vine, fairly common in your area and in the south.

What interesting berries! Haven't seen anything like that in the UK, which makes sense if it's a US native plant.

Greetings Renee, welcome to the Forums.

Alas, this NOT the native American Bittersweet (Celastrus scandens), but its invasive cousin Oriental Bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus).
The former is native to eastern and central North America, the latter to China, southeastern Russia, Sakhalin, Korea, and Japan.
Both are in the type genus of the Bittersweet family (Celastraceae),
Unfortunately, not only is Oriental Bittersweet invasive, but it also hybridizes with the native species. The hybrid offspring shows reduced fitness and female fecundity, as well as male sterility.
