Hello,
I'm in Milwaukee and have a small garden. The bags at the end are potatoes. And I just reinforced my garden with brackets. I would love to hear from you and how your gardens are doing.

Welcome. A suggestion: You might want to move those potato bags to where they get full sun. Full sun is much better.

hello willowisp, i noticed the potato bags, have you utilized them before and how many potatoes do you normally get per bag, i have seen theses before and thought about planting potatoes that way, do you just keep adding soil as the potato plant grows?

Hello,
I'm in Milwaukee and have a small garden.

I'm super close to you. Just to your south. Welcome to the forum!

First thing's first. Have you ever considered planting some native plants in your yard?
Our area is one of the most important areas in the country for Monarch butterflies during breeding season. They need all the help we can give them. You have a fantastic yard that looks like it has some good spots for sun-loving plants like Butterflyweed, Blazing Star, and Purple Coneflower, and shade plants like Wild Geranium and Eastern Red Columbine! Hope you'd consider it! There are usually quite a few native plant sales in our area, though most are not happening this year. There are many garden centers that do sell native species though, like Stein's and Johnson's Nursery. Hope you'd consider it! :)

Tom,
I haven't used them before. I did look up MIgardener and did what he said.

Meadowlark,
They get moved to the sun, but I move them to the garden when I water.

JB,
I'm slowly getting some. I have a neighbor that has a lot and she's very free with starts. This is just my second season in Milwaukee, I was in Washington State before and did native plants as well as my veggies.

My lettuce and kale are doing great, as well as my beans. I have lots of strawberries, and blooms on my boysenberries. Zucchini and cucumbers are slowly getting bigger.

I forgot my potato picture. They're too heavy to move now so they get their own watering instead of with the raised bed.
