Okay, so i grew some mint from seeds. and one of my pots is doing okay... so i tried to transplant a plant or two to another pot so i could have two pots going.. however. they died.. I took the roots and everything, so not sure what happened.. And the one i grew from a seed is doing fine, but hes the only one in the pot... I thought they were invasive, and would spread and grow like wild fire? I have what i was told (bought the mint plants online... but i guess that could necessarily not mean anything?) The start of Spearmint (planted a few weeks ago) and peppermint that was planted more months ago.. lol

Am i doing something wrong that they are not growing anymore plants? they seem healthy... I did just cut off the top of one plant n put it in water to see if i can get roots and grow another plant from a shoot.. but we'll see how that goes...

Welcome to the forums :)

Think you need to let the plants get more established before trying cuttings, they need to be a bit stronger.

That is odd, did you water straight after transplanting?

No, you did right, always give plants a good drink when you transplant them.

Oh, always keep the different varieties in a separate pot or they try to kill each other

is it possible that you exposed the roots to the air for too long during transplant?

Okay, i have different plants in different net pots.. So we are good there. Prolly gave them a drink, and i had the pot ready for them to put in when i was ready to move them to their new home...

ANDDD NOWW.... I gave them some liquid fertilizer.. which i prolly should have diluted it, cause now they are all limp.. I did run water after i poured the fert... :( hopefully they bounce back. :'(

I think you need a forum award for killing mint LOL. That stuff is pretty much indestructible.

Anyway after transplanting anything you really need to squish down the soil and water well. Right away, really.

When transplanting newly rooted plants, I make sure everything is pretty healthy before the switch.

Yea. I suck. Never grown mint before. Lol.

I do gotta admit i did grow them from seeds and ive been told that is hard to do. Lol hopefully they bounce back. I'm thinking that the fet was too rich and shocked them. Idk. :/
