There was a beautiful zinnia garden in my front flower bed when we moved in last July. I’ve heard they reseed but thinking of also using a zinnia blanket. Has anyone tried one of these and had success? What is your best way of growing zinnias?

Love Zinnias! I just seed them in rows alternating with marigolds. They are easy to germinate.

I haven't heard of the zinnia blanket, learn something every day here, but sounds like it would be a good way to get more creative than just rows...but rows work for me for pollinator attractors for my garden.

Here is the current spring zinnia and marigold rows alternating bordering my garden.... from the left zinnias, then marigolds, then zinnias, then more marigolds. A few of each come back from seed but mostly its reseeded plants.

I love it! Thanks for posting the photo. I would have a lot of preparation to get my ground in that kind of condition but it looks like you’ll have a beautiful garden. Please post another photo “in bloom!”

I don't know...but my rows of zinnias and marigolds worked out great. Much more efficient than a blanket.
