Hello:) I'm needing some advice about growing my marigolds and zinnias. I planted them in 3 inch pots from seeds in early May (zone 9), and now they're about 6 inches tall. I'm wondering if I should re-pot them in bigger pots, are if they'll be ok in the containers they're in now. 1 plant in each pot.

Details: plastic pots 3 inches tall and wide, in-ground flower and vegetable soil, 1 Jobes fertilizer spike per pot, watered at ground level, used paprika and banana peels for insecticide, rotated everyday, and wilts when in full sunlight too long.

Personally I would move them to their permanent/seasonal homes now. A couple of weeks ago I transplanted some tomatoes I'd started from seed even though I worried they were too small. But once in the ground they took off like rockets and are getting bushy and already flowering. Seemed they really appreciated the room to grow.
