I'm new here. I have several questions regarding gardening but more important is one that I would like answered sooner than later so I found this forum and of the ones I seen it looks much more user friendly and easy to navigate for a beginner like me.

I'm from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Have 2 boys ages 5 and 3. I started gardening 2 years ago (vegetables). It's for the fresh veggies but mainly is a way for a father to spend time with his sons and teach them that a little work pays off in the end.
