I am so glad that I found a gardeing forum here. I live in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, which is sandwiched between Maryland and the Other Western Northern part of Virginia. The main higway that runs north and south is Interstate 81. I am just about 5 miles west of that. I love to garden and try growing different vegetables, just to see what will grow here in my wooded area. I also like to plant bulbs in my flower gardens and I have a couple of different kinds of roses too. The ecology changes from year to year here too. In 2006 we had beautiful gardens and lots of tomatoes. I haven't had that kind of crop growing as good until last year.
We also have a variety of wildlife to contend with such as deer, raccoons, opposums, grey squirrels and many different kinds of snakes. I love spring and am out in the gardens working on getting them prepared for the planting and harvesting seasons.
