Gloster Apple Tree - Disease?

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to gardening and last year bought two apple trees. Cox Orange Pippin which died after winter :( but my Gloster Apple tree seemed to do really well and has started fruiting.

Over the past couple of weeks all the leaves have gone dry/withered and I don't know whether the whole thing is dying. I did have problems with aphids which I solved and what I thought was wooly aphids (picture with the white fluff).

Any advice would be appreciated. I live in Essex in the UK so the weather has been very dry and hot. I generally water most days and have given it some feed to help grow fruit.

Many thanks in advance!

So I've been giving it about a gallon a day until it drains out of the bottom of container as it's been quite hot. I've also not changed watering habits and it just seems to not be getting any better
