Welcome to the forum @carraun ! You can compost them but best to shred them if possible. If not they will be slower to break down. Also turning the pile and keeping it moist with a good mix of green and brown helps a lot.

I'd only add to the above to make sure they are free of disease, as composting diseased plant material can spread pathogens...and add my Welcome!

Hello. Is it ok to put Gladioli leaves on my compost heap, not sure if they break down or not. Thank you.
Perfectly fine. We always use garden scissors and chop our Glad leaves up a bit, before adding to the compost bin. Sometimes we use the Glad leaves as a bit of mulch, chopped up, layering them atop potted plant soil.

Everything goes into my compost. When it comes out I put it through a riddle I made from a sheet of aviary wire and what doesn't go through becomes the base of the next heap. I made the riddle so it fits on top of the wheelbarrow, put the compost on one end, shake it down to the other and off.
