My old tech flip phone doesn't as far as I know especially since it never leaves my desk drawer. ;)

My wife constantly urges me to carry that old flip phone but somehow it never seems to make it out of the drawer.
In my opinion your wife is right and has your best interest at heart, and you are sounding like an obstinate old fool. I do hope you never do have an accident that makes you wish you could call someone, but it is not that unlikely. The young and fit tend to be working with someone, my guess is that you are alone a lot of the time, and none of us are that young anymore.

I’ve had to slow down a bit with gardening too. Raised beds, lighter tools, and taking little breaks here and there can make a big difference. I’ve also been checking out some Compel Fitness reviews lately for simple ways to stay active without overdoing it. It's nice to find things that help us keep enjoying the hobbies we love.

I use one of these cheap plastic seats to sit on when weeding with my hoe due to bad knees, if I kneel I am unable to get up. Then if planting seeds I lay my hoe on the earth and step on it then sprinkle the seeds in the furrow or if a deeper one is required I use my spade then cover with soil using a rake which also gathers the spilled seeds. I have a lawn extractors for weeds which is like the old fashioned pogo stick. My fruit tree are no higher than I can reach safely as well as other tall growing plants. My skin is like parchment and I bruise easily so I have gardening gloves that reach to my elbows. With any real heavy work I now pay someone. Always wear a hat if sunny and use some form of loud alarm so you do not over do the gardening.

I went by a mountain for years. One day looked at it thinking it would be the last chance I get to climb it.

Climbed to the top. Not a thing up there but a great view.

Put a small rock in my pocket and went back down. No I have not been up it again and have been by it.

I’ve been making a few tweaks in my own yard lately for that exact reason! Raised beds and long-handled tools have saved my back, but honestly, working on functional strength outside the garden has made the biggest difference.

I actually started doing light bodyweight movements and short intervals (I'm currently following the routine outlined in the BetterMe workout guide) and it helped a ton with mobility, leg strength, and overall stamina for heavy lifting and bending over. Keeping up with flexibility and core strength really lets you keep gardening comfortably for much longer.

I've always felt active gardening is self-fulfilling towards keeping on gardening comfortably. ;)

I used to go to the gym until I messed my Arm up and Cancer.

I work at Gardening and now cutting Firewood again. Which is kind of fun. Even though my neighbor took pictures of me and sent them to my wife at work. If I fall I might as well call 911 because my wife can’t get me up.

I was telling my wife that is one thing I miss just setting watching and hearing the rain.
