Freckled Face (Blackberry) Lily

Started one of these plants this spring (Freckle Face Blackberry Lily, scientifically known as Iris domestica) ...simply because it sounded interesting and since it is a perennial it sounded like it might fit my new pollinator garden.

I expected it to be orange...as most of the descriptions I read said it was "vibrant orange" adorned with red spots.

Description "The Freckle Face Blackberry Lily is a striking perennial known for its vibrant orange flowers adorned with red spots, making it a beautiful addition to any garden."

It is now blooming.... a surprising vibrant yellow. I asked AI if there was such thing as a yellow Freckle Face Blackberry Lily and indeed there is

Sorry @Meadowlark, I don't grow Irises or Lilies. I don't like Lilies and Irises struggle in my garden. I have just one though that I brought from my previous garden a year ago, it's not happy in its current site so I'll try moving it elsewhere. It's a dwarf Iris growing to about 12 inches in height. Not the prettiest of flowers but has a strong heady perfume that wafts around the garden.
