Yes, it is. What I also found out is there are certain "types" of grits that are better than others to start with. The best one I am told is called Red ( something) can be found on Amazon. We will be heading down to Mississippi soon, I am sure I will find a dish on a restaurant with grits in it there. BTW, so far at different breakfast locations in the South the grits on the menu are very bland.Looks like shrimp, grits and greens. I like that southern cooking but nobody else here does.



This is very important keep the husband happy.Made something new for me the other night. Totally a concoction of my own. Rice up half a cauliflower I had , made one cup dried elbow Mac half done, can of evaporate milk, se whe milk, 3 cups of cheese, one sharp cheddar one natural. Grated up a scallion. Salt , pepper. Mixed, baked one hour. Husband loved it.

Had kids come to me years ago. Dad will you talk to mom she is being mean. Told them no because I slept with her.

good way to use up stuff.My wife does something similar but no noodles and shredded cabbage instead of cauliflower. Panko or fried onions as topping.



that is different. my soup is frozen in a 2 cup container, when thawed out both of us usually eat it.My wife bout some silicone molds to freeze soup in. They are a cup each. Once froze you can pop them out to put in other containers to reuse the molds.
