Looks like shrimp, grits and greens. I like that southern cooking but nobody else here does.
Yes, it is. What I also found out is there are certain "types" of grits that are better than others to start with. The best one I am told is called Red ( something) can be found on Amazon. We will be heading down to Mississippi soon, I am sure I will find a dish on a restaurant with grits in it there. BTW, so far at different breakfast locations in the South the grits on the menu are very bland.

Slow cooking, lots of stirring, lots of fat and seasoning.

Guy Fieri made the joke that the same dish at a southern restaurant is 5 buck but 50 at an Italian restaurant.

Soups are the ultimate leftover consumer. We keep gallon baggies in the freezer to put stuff in.

Wilted celery, carrots and onion bits in one bag, chicken pieces in another, same for beef. Make a pot of broth and toss in handfuls from the bags. Noodles, rice or barley to round it out.

I have see folks use plastic baggies for soup in the freezer, I have 2 cup containers for mine. can use again and again. This week beginning Monday will be gone for a week, leaving my husband with two substantial leftovers he can easy reheat ------so he's not dead when I get back home Saturday.

My wife bout some silicone molds to freeze soup in. They are a cup each. Once froze you can pop them out to put in other containers to reuse the molds.
that is different. my soup is frozen in a 2 cup container, when thawed out both of us usually eat it.

Corn, marinated cucumbers, pinto beans, Picco de Gallo (jalapenos, onions, tomatoes) each fresh from the garden make an incredibly healthy tasty meal.

The pinto beans and corn together form a complete protein when eaten in combination, meeting the need for all nine essential amino acids.
