I find this allergy to foods truly interesting. Just looking at my own family, I seem to be the only one not allergic to anything in all my cousins. I am talking about just the one side of the family where there were 4 sisters, who all had babies, none of the sisters were allergic to anything. So the uncommon denominator were their husbands/ fathers of my cousins. And each one is allergic to something, either eatable or environmental (cats/dogs). That might be an interesting topic to discuss as we all meet up for Thanksgiving.

Anyway, food shopping later, and stopping by to get some more of that organic bread flour , hopefully make bread tomorrow.

A warm pot of Kraft dinner for supper. I could have something more healthy but I want KD lol.. been eating it for 40 years now and I'm still healthy so I figure I can keep eating it for another 40 lol. I usually just put salt, pepper and ketchup in it but had some hard boiled eggs sitting in the fridge so I put a couple in for protein. Eating it while watching a movie. This is the best way to deal with a bunch of snow outside the door lol.

Just saw something where they took roasted butternut squash, mashed it, added lots of shredded cheese and mixed the all denti pasta in it, baked it, called it Mac and cheese. @pepper2.0 .
I love homemade Mac & cheese, that sounds good adding butternut squash. I'd probably add some chopped up bacon to it.

Mac and cheese can be adjusted easily . I like a hint of blue cheese in mine, and grated onion, a hardy cheddar, and a creamy cheese, and of course a good white sauce made with lots of butter. some nutmeg gives it something special. Always an adjustment to make sure enough liquid to the pasta to come out creamy.

Just read about one with chopped tomatoes in it, made me think that adding a tablespoon of tomato paste in might be interesting twist. Not sure I want the chopped tomatoes in it, just my preference. Some folks put in an egg .

Last night I sauteed walnuts in butter and softened kale in EVOO that I had carmelized shallot and garlic in before adding some creme friache (I make it with brie rinds!) and some stock. I added mushroom ravioli and isweet italian chicken sausage and topped it with parm. I shared it with my wife while we continued watching the second season of "David".

Sounds interesting...just ordered some seeds to try it out this winter.
Here's the recipe. Enjoy.
The apples will cook faster than the squash if you dont use a good cooking apple. I would also check on it early. Cook time can vary.
