Baking. Never done it other than a failed mint chocolate cheesecake a couple years ago.
Esther is right, try something simple first, scones are about the simplest, and they are great when they are really fresh. Recipes are a really good guide, but the ingredients vary, even things like flour, depending on how it is grown, what the weather is like that season and how it is prepared.

My foodie bucket list is endless lol, but one thing on-top of the list is an A5 Wagyu steak from Israel.. they feed the cows olives to fatten them up. Apparently it's even better than A5 from Japan. It would be a once in a lifetime experience almost impossible to achieve.
my butcher sells Wagyu steaks, if I remember correctly it is $35.00 a pound, the steaks he offers are fluffily half pound size. did not know Olives were that fattening.

My method for Hard Boiled eggs is. put eggs in cold water, bring to boil, turn off heat, cover for 15 minutes. then they are done. never had the green ring thing . done that way for years.

My other Food Bucket item is to go to a Michelin star restaurant. I located one in a reasonable distance from me up in New York, and not in the city, seems its out in the country. So will be a 3 hour drive for me. Trying to see when I can schedule it. would have to stay the night.

Fresh out of the oven. Local grown wheat, ground on the farm, no preservatives, organic olive oil and pink salt. Trying to incorporate less man made junk into our diet.

Salmon topped with a seafood stuffing of crab, shrimp, and fish. Sides of fresh home-grown corn and green beans and cucumbers sauteed in vinegar.

The stuffed salmon came from local grocery store...and was outstanding.... the veggies from my garden.

I wonder if they are pitted?
good question. Just googled, Cows eating olives? says, the pitts are toxic and also the leaves.

I screwed up, it is Japan not Israel.. I must have been thinking of something else. But it is the world's most expensive A5 Wagyu. This video is pretty good at explaining it.

I did an egg test last night. I hard-boiled 6 eggs and removed 3 with a spoon and put them on a towel, then ran cold water over the other three still in the pot. Burning my fingers off as usual, I peeled the 3 on the towel. I then rinsed the 3 in the pot again to cool them off and put them in the fridge. Next day I peeled them.. there was no difference at all other than I didn't burn the tips of my fingers off lol.
