These went over last evening. Just a few of them. We counted at least 35.

You should go to Bristol balloon festival if you like hot air balloons, but you'll have to wait till next year as it's just been on.

Why drive all that way to Bristol to pay to see something we can watch for free from our own garden? (Big grin smiley). Lindstrand Balloons is just up the road from us so we see their trial flights almost every week. :)

Funny thing we had a similar experience here in the UK many years ago.

A few weeks ago we heard low flying air craft fly over our house. They were really low. The neaghbour said that they were the red arrows coming back from a show. He said they were so low he could read the letters on the side of them.

We are on the flight path for helicopters from the School of Navigation where Prince Thingy was stationed. We often get helicopters flying over at 25 feet. They are not supposed to go over the house itself though at that height. You can tell where they are on the course, by the height and by the number of them together. At the end of the course we get as many as seven flying in formation at 50 feet. Very spectacular if a bit noisy. The great big gunship types are very loud.

I met the pilot of the Goodyear Airship once, came in wearing full flying leathers and cashed a cheque for £4,000 so he could re fuel
