This time of year, my foxglove are tired and look terrible. They get morning to early afternoon sun. I am considering planting Prunella under them for full summer bloom. Is this a good choice or does anyone have a better suggestion?
Prunella sounds like a fine choice, though there are many other perennial ground covers to consider. Perhaps mix the Prunella with Ajuga and Lamium for a variety of leaf color. Also consider interspersing several summer annuals in the bed, for an even more assuredly colourful planting.
