Thanks grouie! Although I do have honey bee hives in my yard..........The "bee" is actually not a bee at all, it is a Hoverfly or Syrphid fly, they are a beneficial garden insect...When hover fly larvae populations are high, they may control 70 to 100% of an aphid population.

Around my front porch, an assortment of plants..notice the big yellow flowers (out of focus) of the Brugmansia in bloom in the background...I lost it last year to the cold.

A mystery flower...Can you guess what this bloom is?
It's a fairly common garden flower. It is a heat tolerant plant....
