Nice to meet you all!

I'm new to gardening on my own ground - I've move from an apt to another for a long time, so been mostly taking care of indoor plants and herbs in containers.
And only the super hardy ones - I've killed so many polka dot plants. I love polka dot plants but they always get long and lanky
Also couple bamboo palms died...although I heard it's also very hardy...

I think the issue was inconsistent watering and lack of light, which I hope will be fixed by planting outdoor & using smart sprinklers at the new place.

Anyways, really excited to share my progress with you guys.
I'll be asking a lot of questions...any advices would be much appreciated!

Here are some indoor plants waiting to move to a new place (temporarily at a friend's house now).
Peace Lilly and Syngonium will stay inside, Jade Plant outside.

Went to check my new home today. Still haven't quite moved in.
I ordered 'winter care' from Sunday Lawn Care for my first lawn. Looks like it's some fertilizer mix?

Anyways, this is the starting point.

I wonder if you might actually have armadillo there. I have seen similiar hole from them, very prolific diggers.

Interesting! I'm not sure if there are wild armadillos in my area (Northern Cal).
We're installing nest cameras soon so we'll see who it is.
We also noticed one of my trees is red fruit bearing. Will post a pic later.

So the rain has stopped and I've purchased some plants.

And then I was digging up my lawn and noticed...bean sprouts?!

Didn't think that's what I was going to find. And lots of root system.
Really wanted to plant some bedding flowers in front of the small maple tree.
Hmmm I think I'll keep digging.
