This Fatsia was in fine health when I bought it about a year ago. After about 6-months, it stopped sending new leaves and I saw that there were mealy bugs on it for which I effectively sprayed. It then quickly sent out a burst of new leaves that can be seen in the photo but it again stopped sending new leaves. There is no sign of mealy bugs nor any other pest, but that's been the case for months now. Over the winter, it's been in a protected lanai with some sun in the mornings to noon and temperatures generally no lower than 50-degrees over night. I'm wondering if it hasn't shown any new growth because of the "winter season" or something else might be stunting this Fatsia and what I might do to generate new growth.

fatsia plants usually go pretty dormant in the winter especially if it stays around fifty degrees so it is likely just resting until the light and warmth return. once spring hits you can give it some balanced fertilizer and check if it is root bound since a year in the same pot might be stalling that new growth.

^^^^ This^^^ Been a year since purchased but could well have been in that pot a good deal longer than that.
