Good for her.

1015 onions from seed on 1015...harvest green onions thinnings through winter and bulb onions next May

Too late for fall potatoes and probably beans and tomatoes and corn

Carrots, Swiss Chard, leaf lettuce, spinach bok choy all good from seed now

Brassicas...find transplants at this point Broc, Cauli, Brussels, Cabbage, Kale, Kohlrabi....Bonnie plants have good ones usually at box stores.

All the above assumes you don't have cold/freeze protection or wish to mess with it.

Tell her my compliments 🤠

I think Amazon and ETSY may also have them, but this is where I get mine.

By the way, one of these days I'm going to correct their claim 2 months storage...I store them 9 months and they would probably go longer but they are all eaten by then. 🤠

Direct seeded Parsley, Parsnips and Kohlrabi today. Used the board method because I've had a lot of trouble germinating Parsley in the past and the soil temps are still pretty high and dry.

It is hard to believe I must be late as usual to planting, but this is the first week the weather has broken from the summer heat. It seems our seasons have been rotating clockwise into the calendar for years now. I remember frosts in October, then it was late Oct by Halloween, then mid Nov now usually December.

Yes, same here. September here was like August..

However,Nature seems to often to throw a curve with an early frost. That is why I go ahead and start veggies even in searing heat with unusual methods. This has been a particularly difficult fall so far.

The Fall corn crop is showing ears now...a beautiful sight to this old gardener. 🤠

Beans, Carrots, Swiss Chard, Beets, Turnips, Kale in foreground and Osage Orange trees awaiting transplant on the side. Parsley germinating under boards.

No, that look is the result of my tromping around, weeding and raking the clumps to get finer seed beds. The ground on the far left is as the middle busters leave it

Thanks @Sheal . Still have several things to plant this month including different varieties of wheat for a trial. Looking forward to that.
