We look forward every year to having fresh greens at our disposal from the garden...turnips, kale, mustards, collards, etc. The thinning's alone will keep us in greens many weeks.

Our first frost is still weeks away and it will actually improve the taste of the fresh greens but until then we'll enjoy these fresh gifts from the garden.

My garden has two Kale plants. They supply more than can be eaten.
Here is 2020 one canning. I now grow only the dark crinkly Kale. I remove the spine from the leaves, it is bit tough.

First canning of the 2020 garden season. Kale was ready. Eleven one liter jars pressure canned at 15 PSI for 15 minute for off season preservation.
