Has anyone had any experience using eucalyptus mulch? I bought a bag from the garden centre as it was on sale. It wasn’t until afterwards I read that it could be toxic for plants.

Are there any plants who are not toxic to them? If not, what use would I have for it?

Thank you in advanced!

I've used Eucalyptus wood, bark, and leaves as mulch. For larger plants, either established or newly planted, it has worked fine. I've had no issues. Most reports of allelopathy in plants involve the exudate from living plants and the effect is mostly in the discouragement of seedling emergence. Though I don't doubt that allelopathy occurs, its effect in garden settings seems exaggerated.
