Strawberries really need renewing after 3 years in the same place, yield drops off.

Make sure the new plants are firmly planted too :)

Not grown blueberries.

Morning Logan and Zigs and alp....to others I may have missed (y)

Blueberries need at least to be grown with another variety but ideally with 2 others.
Of course, acid soil....anything with lime is fatal
Perfect in containers....use a john innes ericaceous soil. Ericaceous multi purpose compost is not adequate. I prefer to grow mine in pots in the ground....
It helps prevent compost drying out too much
Keep reasonably moist...dappled shade is good although mine are grown in full sunshine.
An annual mulch......acid bark chips or JI ericaceous plus I add dried manure or pelleted chicken manure. Oh! Delicious too :sneaky:
Pruning? I remove old wood, thin wood and aim to sustain a supply of young wood.

Strawberries? Not difficult here if birds and slugs are kept off them. Again use john innes (ordinary ...ericaceous not needed) if in pots. Add dried manure and fish blood and bone. A liquid seaweed feed or tomato feed during the summer too. A mulch of straw is excellent for keeping fruit clean and dry. I think it also helps deter those slugs

Hope this helps;)

I have repotted 4 of my bb and add chicken pellets and bonemeal and I have sunk 3 pots into the ground .. Hope it works.

Would adding coffee grind to the surface of the pot help, Verdun? I got some from the cafe!

Brilliant. Today is the first time I have been there to get coffee. By the weight of it, they must have been busy. I wish I had asked for the egg shells for me worms.. Shame.. Why didn't I??
