I assume this is just a leaf going by due to age. No idea really. Or is it something? Zone 8a central Alabama

I would imagine that's the case; it reminds me of my banana plants, there is always a leaf turning yellow and dying.

Normal. It is just an old leaf. I trim mine off. Nice E. ears!
