Hey all, local airshow just came through. Lots of great performances, and the first time the snowbirds came around in 15 years. Thought Id share some of the pictures I got with you

Nice pics @Belmont - it's great to see that they got some old warbirds there :).

I had a look at the display website and it looks like they even had a "Vampire" - that's one of my favourite aircraft (despite the terrible safety reputation they have!).

Awesome stuff! I'm a huge fan of airshows. I try to go to the Milwaukee airshow and EAA Airventure each year when possible. I'm definitely jealous that you got to see the Snowbirds. I've always wanted to see them. The Snowbirds were here at EAA Airventure last year, but I wasn't able to make it. I did see a Golden Hawks jet on display at Airventure years ago, but I wasn't sure if it was one of the actual Golden Hawks team jets or just a paint scheme to honor them.

I've been lucky enough over the years to see the Thunderbirds (a few times), Blue Angels (a few times, twice this year), the Black Diamond Jet Team (I think they've disbanded), and the Breitling Jet Team from France, when they were here in the US a few years back.

I was lucky enough to be able to make it to Airventure last month. It's an event I would highly, highly recommend for anyone who's even slightly interested in airplanes. This year was especially amazing. If you'd like, you can see my post and photos on the Gardening Forums' sister site.

Not only did I go to the World's biggest airshow, I also went to the Milwaukee airshow. I took a bunch of photos there as well, but this one continues to stand out.

That's definitely an interesting plane. Reminds me of the P-38, but with obvious differences.

Ive always wanted to see the Blue Angels but they dont come by up here very often. The vampire was great, got a video of it taxiing. Didnt hear anything about it being there until they announced it was the next one up, definitely a pleasant surprise.
Ill upload the video when I get home if I remember
