Dying Bootle brush

My Bootle brush is dying but has ne bits of growth has been i ground as long as I have been in house 16 yrs any suggestions

Your info does not show location...but these plants do not tolerate cold well at all. They don't survive in my zone 8 and are recommended for zone 9-11. Your picture looks exactly like my plant looked when it died here in zone 8.

I’m not sure what those olive looking things are on the smaller branches, but they don’t look as if they are doing the tree much good. I never had them on my bottle brush trees in Florida.
